Last day at school

Kia Ora Whanau,


Today is our last day at Hay Park school. It's a sad farewell to our teacher, Mrs Archer and Miss Fortes has been our lovely teacher for 2 years, It's sad to say goodbye because us, year 6 are going to be in intermediate, moving on to our next station. I just want to say a big thank you to all the teachers that I have been with at the past few years, because they have been so helpful and supportive also fantastic to Scott class. I just want to keep the memories in Hay Park School still kept in my mind and in my heart. Here are some photo's from Scott class graduation. Trip ti Rotoroa Island

Yester we went off to an Island here is my writing about my trip and we also went with room 8. Hope you can image what we.

Trip to Rotoroa island

On Tuesday morning we went off to an Island, We had to go on a bus to head to the city then we hopped onto a ferry. And head to our island, we all went in the boat and only me and my two best friends sat outside with their mum’s and some other people.

As we started to move I feel my body shaking like it’s an earthquake and I felt the salty water flipping on me, I also smelt the fresh air and with that I smelt the salty water trying to make me feel like i’m going to spew into the water.

As we move I was  really concerned about what we are doing so then I asked and the adults and they said”He is trying to turn the boat so we can go back where we came from”. Suddenly he didn’t make an turn any more and he raced his way to the point and as if I was the water I saw the water coming together like matching couple and their was an cap in the middle, it just looked really cool and nice to see.

After that long minute of sitting outside in the cold weather I felt really cold so then I reached down to crab my bag and opened it so I could get my jumper to put on. It was just a perfect ride to Rotoroa island and it was a brilliant picture whenever you look down.

Feeling the boat moving a lot and the water flipping on me and smelling the salty water, tasting the water whenever I lick my lips taste really yuck. Then it got boring because we only sat there so then I thought I should go and stand where the view will be cooler.

And we stopped and hear what the captain saying and the captain said of you look on your right you will see two boats with flags on it and the flag represent America so that means that boat came from America.

Long ago me(Osana) Lanu Sami and Roman went to stand on the edge of the boat and just feel the wind come by and see that we are nearly there. It was a coo l day and at the end of the day I felt really sleepy and tired.

I just had the perfect day and the coolest day and it was just really fun hanging out with our groups and our adults.

Then we got there and we said our thank you and our goodbye’s to our people that came with us and that works on a island. And we went off to find our bus to head back to school and get picked up from our parents.

On Wednesday we had a book launch that was held in Hay Park school. We had illustration people coming over to our school and people that made the story. The story was mostly about animals, the books that we had was the person who wrote all of these six books and his name was John Carr. Each books has different illustration. The book had Scott class was reading was the problem with Sione's spaghetti. We had a lot of cute dogs. Also my highlight on Wednesday was meeting the SPCA dogs. Today I have been working on my SPCA tasks Scott class has been doing there as well. I chose to record my story well not my story but the story that we are actually working on. Over the past few weeks Scott class has been creating an ad about healthy eating but Scott class knows that most of the ad well all of the ad persuade you to go and buy their elements but Scott class doesn't do that some of our add is trying to persuade you.We chosen our group and my group had Cicilia, Emah, Sami, Tai, and me(Osana).Here is a video of our advertisement hope you enjoy some parts are funny some aren't enjoy.

The faraway tree tasks

Scott class has been reading a book called the faraway tree, who know's what the book is about, well I do because Scott class come together and our teacher Mrs Archer reads the book to us when there is spear time like brain break.Also our teacher prepares some tasks about the faraway tree book and adds it to our self guided learning site and I did one of it and the task was to draw the faraway tree and the land topsyeurvy Land.Here is a photo of my Land and tee that I drawled by myself.

On Tuesday we had a race, each class had to run around Keith hay park to get back til the end and we had been placed like who came first second and third.I didn't get placed because I didn't come first and second and third but guess what I tried and tried and I the whole time I was being resilient.Here is one photo of our class getting ready to have the final race together in Hay Park school.One more thing all classes came together to have the race.Like the whole school.Take a look at the photo and comment below for any questions and comment below for any positive comments.

On Tuesday we had a really busy day full of different students from different schools.Our busy day was called toolkit.There were eight schools that came and it was Wesley intermediate and Wesley primary, Christ the king, may road, wakowhai, Owairaka, plus hay park, New Windsor.It was a lot of fun and I met a lot of people some of them were my cousin( one of them).

Yesterday we went off to another class to work in because we had a group of mixes boys and girls going to the rugby zone game.What did yesterday was a Olympic web quest that means answering all of the question that has been send to us on a piece of paper.My highlight for me was creating a object using soft and fin paper, paper clips, rubber band, ice blocks stickers, cotton buds, cello tape,.Our object that we made was something that can collect the fruit, but we needed to be 2 meters away from the fruit.That was my highlight yesterday in room 8 at school.Hope you enjoy this huge writing about my highlight yesterday and I hope you enjoy all of them.fa soifua(Goodbye)

Yesterday we had to come to school to have a learning conversation with our teacher(Mrs Archer).Why do we have learning conversation do you really want to know aye aye  fine then, we have learning conversation so our parents know how good we are in school and were we are at.It was scary and a lot of pleasure but the whole way through I had something special beside me my parents.Leave comments and feedback and I might get back to you.,

Dance Week 3

Today we had a lot of fun, Scott class had another season with Emily our lovely coach.I will explain what we did in the hall right now, first thing that we had to do was a warm up our warm up game was called freestyle.How to play is you need music, of courser and there are 3 shape that you need to freeze in when the music stops it is star snake and straight line it fun to play but a little bit boring.After that we did a dance with Emily who was teaching us to do it .Lastly we did stretch, Here a some photo's of our dance in the hall with Emily.

Today Hay Park school went off to the hall to watch something special happening at the hall just for us.Today we went to the hall to watch some people come to perform for us, it was fun to watch their were heaps of people clapping and saying"Ohhh".There was a man that came with them and his name is lucky.Here are some of the photo that our wonderful teacher Mrs Archer took while we were watch they were very flex-able.

Today we had a wonderful season with our lovely coach(Emily), today we went to the hall to learn how to dance but we had a warm up, fourth  thing we had to do was  make up a dance using our  first letter in your name.My name started with a O for Osana, guess what, first thing we started for a warm up was doing a hokey pokey dance.Then we did a snake go around which I call it that because it looked like we were drawing a snake that keep on moving.One more thing, if you don't know what choreograph means then stay and relaxes because i'm going to explain it,it means making up your own dance.It was very easy because following Emily with her action made me think about what should I do for our dance.Leave positive comment's and feedback and I might get back to you, here is some photo's of our class making up our own dance, take a look.

Week 7 Gymnastics

Today, the first thing we did was gymnastics.Today's focus was swing, again I got nothing to say or explain but today I have achieve a lot of activities and I had fun. Coach(Kane), he is the best but their is always talking while Mr Kane is talking and I get sick of it.But anyways here is some photo's of our gymnastics activities.
